Using Yakuza Like a Dragon as an example, it is very easy to trace the differences in tastes between Western and domestic gamers. If the residents of the USA and Europe were really waiting for this unusual spin-off of the gangster series from SEGA, then in our woodlands the most desperate, enthusiastic fans of the electronic entertainment industry heard about Yakuza. And this is where the fun begins: despite all the skepticism that Russian gamers usually pour out on the Japanese franchise, the new Yakuza is one of the most important releases of this year. So let’s see what Ryu Go Gotoku Studio has done this time.
It Takes Two — is an action-adventure platformer focused on co-op. The project was developed by the studio Hazelight, known for the movie A Way Out. The products were released by Electronic Arts under the EA Originals banner. The game tells the story of a girl named Rose, whose parents are about to divorce. The child is not very good at this, and to help cope with grief, she creates two dolls one made of wood and the other made of clay representing her mother May and her father named Cody. Rose’s creations magically come to life, and through adventures with them, the girl will try to cope with her emotions. It Takes Two is a platformer with strong logic elements. During the game, we have to explore locations, avoid threats, destroy enemies and solve puzzles. This is all centered on a co-op mode for two people, in which each player controls one of the dolls, and most of the tasks require close cooperation between them.
