RailGods of Hysterra is a Lovecraftian adventure game developed by Troglobytes Games in which you play as a Dreamer strapped to a sentient locomotive called a RailGod. Set in a world ravaged by the Great Old Ones, you travel between outposts while battling cultists and nightmarish creatures. Created through forbidden rituals, your RailGod serves as both a mobile fortress and a weapon, requiring enemy sacrifices as fuel.

You can play solo or team up with up to four friends in online co-op to gather resources, craft items, and build your rail fortress. Gameplay involves managing health, hunger, and sanity, as well as customizing your RailGod with specialized minecarts that provide strategic advantages. As you develop your symbiosis with the RailGod, you will unlock GodKeeper skills and Dark Gifts through sacrificing enemies, and eventually become powerful enough to challenge the Great Old Ones themselves.
