Tormented Souls 2 continues the story of Caroline Walker after the events at Wildberger Sanitarium. Her younger sister, Anna, suffers from visions of violence and death, which she draws, and these drawings come true. To save her sister, the heroine travels to the remote town of Villa Hess and a secluded clinic in the mountains of southern Chile. The staff of the institution hide behind a mask of calm, but soon the sisters find themselves in the center of a completely new nightmare. Behind the walls of the institution, a cult operates, which has a special interest in Anna’s abilities.

In Tormented Souls 2, the player takes control of Caroline and explores the dark places of the town, including a monastery, a shopping mall, and a school. The heroine’s special ability allows her to move between realities, changing the past to transform the present and find alternative paths. Progression through the story requires examining and combining items from your inventory. Solving puzzles embedded in the environment requires finding connections between objects and the world. These tricky puzzles will force the gamer to carefully examine every detail and think outside the box.

In this game, encounters with unfamiliar creatures are the central element of the gameplay. Caroline creates and improves an arsenal of improvised means, such as a nail gun and a chainsaw, to counter threats. The quick-select system helps change weapons right in the middle of a fight. She faces new opponents: from agile creatures with blades to massive armored creatures and bosses. During the adventure, the heroine will meet other characters, each of whom pursues personal goals and keeps dark secrets. Uncovering a complex story full of unexpected twists becomes the main reward for survival.
